Swedish to English Translation
I'm hoping someone here can translate the message on the back of this card for me. With luck maybe I can find Oliver Bodin's family. Charlotte

Hi @CGorley ,
Translation can be a bit tricky to get the right meaning. It's interesting that the picture-post card was taken in New Rockford North Dakota. The writer is a Swedish-American who wrote the message in a mix of Swedish and English. This is what I see:
(To:) Mr. Oliver Bodin, Litchville, N. Dakota
(From:) Lollie N. Dakota
My dear Oliver. Here shall you receive the long awaited-for card but I think I look so besvärlig in appearance (besvärlig has a variety of meanings. The 1889 Swedish-English dictionary by C.G. Björkman lists the meaning of besvärlig as troublesome, inconvenient, pesky, toilsome, cumbersome, onerous, wearisome, laboursome or sweaty) but it is (what it is) just as well. So you can see that it is little Selma. Best love to you. Dear from as ever you(-rs) # Dea?
(Then it seems another thought was added before sending it. Written on the side and turned upside down)
I’m sending to you the 2nd exposure (of the photo session I assume) also I am better on it but Axel, he didn’t want to have of it. You may write a line to me. (then a word that I don’t understand) Anden? or Omdn? has better time than me.
(Then written sideways to the left)
That is all what I have time to write this time. By by Dea?
