Is there an easier way to identify Sealings that have (or don't have) all prior ordinances performed
It would be helpful if FamilySearch would flag ordinances that are not available (or at least not recommended) until previous ordinances are performed. In particular, sealing ordinances can be tricky to identify when trying to select several from the Temple menu. The only way to know if a sealing ordinance is "ready" is to individually check all the individuals involved for prior ordinances. The little popup window that shows all the ordinances when you click on a person's name is helpful, but there is still a certain amount of tedium. Am I missing a better way to do this?

As far as a sealing of a child to parents - the child's work will show on the card that is printed. Beyond that things get a little sticky. The cards used to say "All prior ordinances must be done before this sealing" or something like that. The temple department has loosened that up a little - they still prefer that we do all the ordinances in order but the cards now say "prior ordinances should be done." There is a Knowledge Article in the Help Center on this that tells you that if they are done out of order they are not in effect until the prior ordinances are done.
Sealings to spouses is also a challenge as the card is printed independently of the other ordinances. Again they would prefer the prior ordinances be done but won't stop you from doing the ordinance which won't be effective until the other work is done.
Then there is the spouse of your aunt, uncle or cousin. You can seal the spouse to their parents regardless of it the parents' work is done or not. You are asked to not do the work for the parents of the spouse - just finish up the spouses ordinances as that is the extent of your responsibility.
Basically don't sweat things too much - it will get all done eventually.

As 'Robert' has already suggested, "... don't sweat things too much ...".
.
There are a number of "Knowledge Articles" on the subject of, both, the preferred sequence (ie. order) of performing "Ordinances"; and, some of the reasons why "Ordinances" were performed 'out of order'.
.
And, although the (vicarious) "Ordinances" may have been/were performed 'out of (the preferred sequence of) order', they are still valid; and, become effective only after the prerequisite "Ordinances" are "Completed".
.
And, furthermore, the "Ordinance" for Children being "Sealed to Parents", belongs to the Child, not to the Parents; and, can therefore, be done even if the "Ordinances" for the Parents have not been; or, cannot be (not being directly related), done.
.
You are not missing anything.
,
Just do what you can.
.
And, do the best you can.
.
That is all of what is expected of you, of us.
.
We are certainly not perfect; although, we would like to think that we are.
.
Heavenly Father likes to see us doing the best we can, perfection is not expected.
.
Just continue to enjoy the blessing associated with doing this important Work - your Ancestors and Relatives appreciate whatever you can do.
.
Juts my thoughts.

Some of third-party programs can build reports that show this information. I believe the Ordinance Ready app will also look first for individuals that have prior ordinances completed.

Anne, can you share some of the programs that have this feature?

LegacyFamilyTree, RootsMagic, Ancestral Quest. Links to all of these in the Solutions Gallery > Family Tree Management. My recommendation is to try out each of them with a small tree. Use whichever one makes the most sense to you. They really all do pretty much the same stuff, just in different ways.

This is a great link to show so many programs at one time.

How do I bookmark this so I can find it again? Very helpful.
