Josanna, I can help a bit with some records on Zakynthos Island.
They are not birth and death records but they are great records and all I know of currently.
There are male registry records available online at the website
Arxeiomnimon.gak.gr.
The easiest way to access these records is through the FamilySearch Wiki.
Type the word "Greece" in the Wiki search bar. When the country page pops up, scroll down the page and you will see a large map with hyperlinks of all the places of Greece there is information about. On the left side of this map you will see the Ionian Islands, which Zakynthos is part of. Click on Zakynthos and you will be taken to the home page for Zakynthos. You can find out all about the island from this page, as well as hyper links to help on writing letters (in Greek) to Greece to gain help with your research, as well as links to on-line digital records. Scroll down the page to find the hyperlink to the Greek Electoral Rolls (the Arxeiomnimon site), known as the Vlachogiannis collection. The Island of Zakynthos is file #013. Zakynthos municipality begins on Take #087 of this file but I highly recommend spending the time to look through each record and search for family names.
Josanna, I sent you a similar email to this in the recent messages section of this community page. Please refer to it for information about these records.
Thanks,
Dawn

I need some information on my paternal grandfather. He was born in Zakynthos. I cannot figure out how to access records through the web site you recomended. His name was Dionisios Becatoros or Becatovos or Becatore. He was born in 1832 and was married to Addrinne Papagary. He came to U.S. in 1909 and died in Chicago in 1927. I am compiling a family history book for my grand children. Any information, places, photos schools ect. that he lived or millitary records would be appreciated.
Please email me at my personal email as I am not too computer literate and have trouble negotiating these message boards without outside help. My email is 2115tina@gmail.com
Thank you for any help you can give me.
