Hi @K. Stalbeth Keren, you are welcome to put them here so we can get to know you better.
Of if you want to privately talk to me, that is just fine too. The "envelope" in the top right corner of the page is for personal messages, or you can click on my name and a message button will appear on my page.
Have a great day!

Oh no problem, to do it here:
We would love to get to know you better through three questions:
- Where you are from? 🏡 🌃
- I'm from the Netherlands and Israel, currently living in de Betuwe, Gelderland.
- How do you connect with those around you through family history work? 🌳
- Well that's quite a story, I started doing research with the help of an LDS member in Amsterdam some forty 😳 that's 40 (!) years ago. I worked in shifts and was able to visit the Dutch archives regularly, also for fellow genealogists. Eleven years ago I started my own genealogy forum as site and later Facebook group, with support from a friend. When necessary we still visit archives for members.
- For Fun: What is your favorite Ice Cream Flavor? 🍦
- Well actually I like all flavors, except mocha 😊

Hi everyone,
- Where you are from? 🏡 🌃 - I live in Hayden, Idaho. Right outside of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho
- How do you connect with those around you through family history work? 🌳 I think how I connect with those around me with regards to family history work is; I talk of Family History, I rejoice in family history, I preach family history so that all those around me may know from what sources to use to find their ancestors. (2 Nephi 25:26 rephrased) :)
- For Fun: What is your favorite Ice Cream Flavor? 🍦 Hmmmm...... can I choose, all of them? Okay, huckleberry sorbet

@K. Stalbeth What an incredible journey you have been on. I can't even begin to imagine all the work you have done to help others - and continue to do. It would be nice to know the Facebook group if you are willing to share.
@Tamalyn Lively I have been to Coeur d'Alene once and found it quite beautiful. Oh my . . you had me at Huckleberry! They make a sorbet too? It doesn't surprise me and makes my mouth water.
It has been such a pleasure to get to know you both.

@Heather R Jacobs The Facebook group is called StamboomVragenForum.nl same as the website. It's in Dutch, but English written messages are no problem.
Hi @Tamalyn Lively you live in a beautiful state!

@K. Stalbeth When I answered the questions to join your Facebook group, I said I didn't have any ancestors in The Netherlands. This morning I found evidence that I do! It is distant (9th great grandfather), but he is there! This particular ancestor settled in the American New Amsterdam in the 1600's. I have been learning more about him and a little bit about his life. I just wanted to share the excitement with you!
Who knew that a Facebook membership question would lead to more discoveries?!

@Heather R Jacobs That is such a nice discovery! Wow!! Most of my lines are going back not further then the beginning of the 18th century. Well they go back much further off course, only my research isn't 😊
Do you have access to the records of that time, so you can find more?

I do have access to sources without images - all through FamilySearch. All for the descendancy line I am seeing on FamilySearch. The Netherlands Vital Records, New York Birth's and Christenings, NY Reformed Dutch Church. In looking at the line, and comparing them with FamilySearch and Ancestry documents (some are able to be viewed) there is one discrepancy that I am trying to clear up and will take some time.
As far as going back farther in the 1500's there are sources listed, but not quite as valid as I would like.
