I'm looking for Sakari (Saku) Heikkila - Lost in Houghton.
Me and my father have been looking for a relative of ours for years now and we need help. Any peace of information could be useful. He is my great-grandfathers brother and we are really curious about finding out what happened to him.
Sakari (Saku) Eliaksenpoika Heikkilä, born 9th of May 1885 in Pyhäjärvi Ol., Finland. Departed to America on April 1903 with a destination to Houghton, MI. Arrived on Ellis Island 1903 (marked as Sakku Heikkila). Went to England sometimes in 1906-1907 and arrived back on Halifax, Nova-Scotia (marked as S. Heikkila) on February 1907 with a destination mentioned only as Hancock.
Later is only known that he has been alive sometimes in the 20's since he auctioned all of his belongings in Finland but used an intermediary so no markings of hes living place is not found. He's official name has possibly been Saku Heikkila after moving to America. He has possibly had a wife and two daughters. Nothing is known of them. Only a story is known of Saku being in a fight and possibly hurting the other man so that he had to run away, which could be the reason he went to England and could have changed hes name. Though, this story is not coming from a trustworthy source.
I linked a photo of Finlandia Weekly's article about the subject.
Thank you in Advance. -A. Heikkilä

Thank you @Jennifer Ann Corder!
We have not researched much since we rely only on internet based data (we live in Finland). The info we know are from the Ellis Island records and RMS Victorian passenger list, which was found on family search "Canada Passenger Lists, 1881-1922" -database. The pictures are from old family photo albums.
We really don't know how to start researching this since it is not sure has he changed hes name or how long he has been alive. Only we know is that the name Saku Heikkila can not be found on census data from America nor Canada.

"Canada Passenger Lists, 1881-1922," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:2QSC-8SB : 23 February 2021), S Heikkila, Feb 1907; citing Immigration, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, T-501, Library and Archives Canada, Ottawa, Ontario.
That is the sitation on the FamilySearch page. I do not know other.
And this is the site which he is found on the Ellis Island records. The names are only with an initial or written wrongly, but we are fairly certain these are the same person and that he is the person we are trying to find.

Thank you for sharing that resource. Here are a few more to explore:
Some of those resources mention other societies and resources that may be of help. If I come across anything else I will forward. Hope this is a start in the right direction!
