Amsterdam Church Records index question
Hi, I am researching in Amsterdam older ancestors. I have found a Marriage Index of an ancestor(s). I am now seeking the actual marriage record (either registry or solemn Promise)
I know they were Catholic, but there are many, many catholic churches in Amsterdam. I am trying to figure out if the Nr.749 Blz.52 that is noted on the index can give me a clue as to what catholic church it might be? Thanks for any help you can offer.- Carl

I looked at the Inventory of the DTB archives in Amsterdam here: https://archief.amsterdam/inventarissen/details/5001/keywords/retroacta/withscans/0/start/0/limit/10/flimit/5
Number 749 is the "PUI" Ondertrouwregister. (Note the top right corner of the index card where Kerk is crossed out and PUI left untouched)
The PUI was where all non-Reformed marriages were processed. After their civil marriage they could marry in the religion of their choice. Reformed marriages went through the "Kerk" route.
You can find the index with attached images for both PUI and Kerk here: https://archief.amsterdam/indexen/persons
and here is the PUI ondertrouw for them: https://archief.amsterdam/indexen/deeds/e68fbfc8-5656-4709-95d9-612e61900726
The marriages of the individual Catholic churches and other non-Reformed churches are not indexed. You can browse images either through the FamilySearch Catalog or the Stadsarchief Amsterdam. Generally you would try to find where the children were baptised and assume that the parents were married there.
I am happy to help you further, e.g. with reading/translating the PUI marriage.

Hi, I really appreciate your help in finding their marriage record! If it is possible, I would like to get your (or anyone else's) opinion on this.
-I believe Bernardus's age was 34 and Catrina's age was 23
-I believe Catrina's father was Hendrik? But I also see a name that looks like Nicolaas. Any confirmation would be appreciated.
-I'm more confused if a father is named for Bernardus? Maybe Harmaneus?
-The final bit of help is to ask if birth towns are given for either the bride or groom?
Again thank you very much for your help- Carl

Bernardus Henricus Beckman is 34, from Alberskerk, Catholic, living in the Binne Bantemedestraat. , parents dead, living with/supported by Hermanus Smit
Catrina Rigters is 23, from Amsterdam, Catholic, living in the St Nicolaas Straat, living with/supported by her father Hendrik Rigters.

Thank you once again for the help and quick reply!
I'll have to check Bernardus's baptism record in search of his parent's names. That town name Alberskerk will be really helpful.
I just found Catrina's baptism registry.

There is no town called Alberskerk, but according to a very useful document that the Stadsarchief Amsterdam has put together (I can't find the link though, but it's saved to my computer), Alberskerk is a misspelling for Alberskirch (Baden-Württemberg en Beieren, Duitsland)
