Re De Nucci and/or Nucci
I was wondering how I should put this name onto Family Search Tree. The name is De Nucci in New Jersey but going back to the town of Chiaromonte where they come from they are still known as De Nucci or Di Nucci in the more recent records even though they are indexed as Nucci. Further back they are referred to as Nucci as well. Family Search Tree has duplicates of this name listed as both De Nucci, Di Nucci and Nucci. I would like to merge them but don't know which surname to use.
Also, I have been unable to translate the occupation of Vassalajo and Cretajo if anyone can help. Thanks.

I normally make the name in the tree what the earliest document for them (usually birth or baptism) says. The other names can be added as alternate names under the "Other Information" section.
As far as the occupations you're trying to translate, can you post links to the documents in question? The "j" is really just an elongated "i" BTW; the ending -aio just means "one who does".

Vinny, Thank you for your response. After looking at a multitude of sites for ocupations I finally figured out my ancestor's occupations. Vasellaio is potter and Cretaio is clay maker a.k.a. potter. I have changed all my words ending with "ajo" to "aio". Thanks for the advice.
