Interactive Story telling
I see this group doesn't have many members, so I may not get a lot of discussion. Here goes anyway. I am trying to begin telling the stories of individual ancestors. I don't want a book, I want an online product that can be updated and enjoyed by many. I have worked in Google Earth, Microsoft Sway and am currently doing a project in PowerPoint. All have good aspects to them, but I am not sure I can knit them together. They open up as links to one another, which is not really what I want. I want interactivity with the appearance of one product, and the ability to "click here" to learn something more in depth or go on. Sway, by the way, is a cloud based Microsoft application that handles images very, very nicely. I like how you can do a series of short theme based photo slide shows. Google Earth is also cloud based, and is really nice for deep diving into the physical journey ancestors took. I can show the location and appearance today of a church ancestors got married in 200 years ago. I have some lovely projects done with Google Earth. But PowerPoint is my unfortunate go to for keeping the storyline together. It is good at allowing deviations from a straight line approach (example: click here to learn about the lives of her brothers and sisters), but it is not amazing with geography or quick photo slide shows the way Sway and Google Earth are. Is anyone else trying to record family stories like this? If so, with what? I feel like I am putting a lot of effort into what will be a second class product.

Wow! you are amazing! I am impressed by your expertise. I couldn't even begin to tell you where to start you already seem to have all the answers. I would love to have a tiny bit of your knowledge about current software options.
