American families linked to English churchs

I'm looking for a church website that shows their link to an American family, which i would hope to use as a model for my family's link to an English church. I think I saw two in Norfolk that showed the family link, how they had helped the church, how to donate, etc. This was not like Lincoln or Washington; just families who felt a strong link to the church, supported it in various ways, etc.....I did find two Norfolk churches like this a few weeks ago, but of course can not now! Any help would be gratefully received.....thank you!

Have you made any progress on this? I have never heard of such a link. I'm not quite clear on what it is you are seeking for. Is there any examples at all you can give?
