Searching for living relatives
I am searching for someone who lives in the Perranuthnoe Cornwall area. I am hoping that this might be a way to make a connection between my desceased relatives, who left the Cornwall area to immigrate to the U.S. in about 1848, with any living relatives. The name is Semmens or Simmons.

I looked up Perranuthnoe just now and was surprised to find it lies very close to Praa Sands, where I visited as a child, whilst on holiday in Cornwall! Not very relevant, but it did lead me to confirm this place is part of the Penzance Registration District.
A check on the General Register Office website (at https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/login.asp) shows a Joseph Raymond Semmens died in the Penzance area in 2006, but FamilySearch has an even later death of a Vivian Bryan Semmens in 2012. There are many more SEMMENS deaths recorded at Penzance R.D. for the 1980s, so I thought that maybe the name was gradually dwindling in this area.
However, I just found there are many individuals of that name still residing in the Penzance area. A good idea is (as I just did) to check out https://www.192.com/people/search/, which has details from recent electoral registers - you do have to subscribe to view individuals' full addresses, however. Perhaps you might wish to get to the full details and try to contact some of the individuals listed, in a hope they have some knowledge of the family history of the Semmens, of Perranuthnoe and close by.
