Could anyone help me with the translation of the comments of this military record?
Michele Orlandi figlio di Giovanni Orlandi y Angela Marra
In family search: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CSVL-996C-T?i=521&cat=484010 Image 545 last record.
I need to know when to search for his birth record. There are some birth years written on the comments section that I don't understand.
Thank you very much for your help!

This is from one of my co-workers who cannot comment at the moment:
These are books from the class of 1856-1857 in San Giovanni in Fiore, Cosenza. There is a column that states where the person is living and then a column for the date of birth. Not always filled in... for Michele Orlandi the date of birth says "July 1851" - without a day of birth. The column next to the date of birth is where the person was born--also not filled in. So, he was living in San Giovanni in Fiore -- but not necessarily born there. That is the first part. In the notes that are a little difficult to read--as far as I can make out-- the first says "abile ed all suppletivo per patria? riceventi. Ribaltato in reclamo parte come annusse classe 1851" Which basically translates to the fact that he was labeled able to serve, but then was in part overturned because he was from the class of 1851. Usually men called up to serve in a certain "class" are between the ages of 18-21. Since these are men being inspected for service in 1876 -- he sort of falls out of that general age range. The notes don't say anything about birth date other than the reference to him being born in 1851 . The rest is super difficult to figure out--but I believe that is says on 20 Nov 1876 act n. 1824 (of what, I don't know) that he was listed as "assentato in la ???" which is to say "absent in the ???" So-- unfortunately only an "about" date of birth and no clarity on a location of birth and that he was able to serve-- but then that was reversed and he ended up being absent anyway. Hope that helps.
