Note on this project: Members of the Historical Society of Washington County Virginia, are gathering names from the 1870 Census to create trees in Ancestry and utilizing other records to create trees on their historical society website. On Juneteenth 2021 they hope to gather living people linked to these trees, connecting them with each other and with resources to help them in their family history research. They were our guests on The Bridge Forum in October 2020. We wish them well on this wonderful project.
