The fourteenth December 1696 has been baptized Jean La Maire, illegitimate child and son of Anne Adam, who declared having conceived this child from sir Jean La Mare, knight in the Champlin regiment. Had for Godfather sir Jean Naudin, merchant in this town, and for godmother Jeanne Rouvier, wife of sir Jean Thiery, baker-master in this town.
