Can someone please help with further translation of this death record. It is the last record on the
Svihov 25 Jul 1830, house No. 17. His parents (not in record) are Jan Klapka and Katerina Sedlakova. I would like to know his cause of death, occupation and was he married or a widower. I am trying to find a marriage record for him but have been unsuccessful. This record can be found in the Zamrsk Archives in the Zumberk parish register of deaths book 6992, page 660, record 6.

He died as a widower. He was a laborer in Malé Lukavice.
Cause of death: marasmus = he died of old age

Simona, Thank you for the quick response. I would like to ask one more question, what words in this record told you he was a widower? I thought the Czech word for widower was vdovec and I don't see this word in the record. If you could answer this it would help me when I research other death records.

Yes you are right, Czech word for widower is vdovec and it's the last word in the column "names of deceased".
