Where did they go? Richard and Sarah Waite.
Richard Waite married Sarah Boddington in 1800 in Sandford St Martin, Oxfordshire. There first 3 children were born Richard 1800, George 1801 and Thomas 1803 in Lower Heyford, Oxfordshire. There is then a gap between 1803 and their next child who was born in 1811. From 1811 (John) Sarah 1814, Roberts 1817 ans Susanna 1820 all born in Lower Heyford. Did the family move cannot find a trace of any other children born between those dates. Can anyone help please?

Did you find the children later years?
Sometimes the father remarried if maybe the spouse passed away

He was still married to Sarah when he had the three children after 1811. I have found a Mary Waite born in Thame which is about half an hour from Lower Heyford. She was born in 1806 I have added her as in the 1841 census she is a servant with the Thornhill family at Woodlays, Near Wootton. Her sister Sarah is also a servant at the house and the age difference between them is right. There may be another child Ann also in Thame but am not sure.

Lynda might still be correct. He could have married another woman named Sarah. You might check for a burial and then another marriage.
Do you have any information about Richard's occupation? Or maybe he went into the military? The gap period is during the Napoleonic wars.

Richard was a farm labourer. I believe Sarah Boddington who he married in 1800 didn't die until 1838. I never thought of the military thank you. Will keep looking.

Hi Susan,
As a farm labourer, you wouldn't expect the family to be going far. I noticed that FamilySearch's parish registers for Lower Heyford have not been digitized, so if you are searching on FamilySearch only, you may be relying on an index only. If you have an Ancestry subscription, the images are there. I put a link to Thomas's christening on Ancestry as a source on FamilySearch KN1S-FLD. What's interesting to me is that in FamilySearch Family Tree, the next child is John KL8H-F8F, born 1810, but if you look at the parish register image, for the child who was christened on 7 Oct 1810, it looks like the surname is Watts, not Wait or Waite.
