I need some help with a few of the small words in the Moravian marriage record written in German. H
This is the marriage record of my husband's 2ggfather, Franz Walenta and his wife Anna Müller:
Here's what I have so far:
10 May 1830, House #16. Groom: Catholicc, 21 years old, single male, Franz Walenta, Häußler (farmer) von Philippsthal und Sohn machen? (and son of) the late Franz Walenta, nbm? Ansiedler (settler? Homesteader? Immigrant?) und ehw? (and his wife?) Marianna born of Mathäus Lehner, gemein? (common?) Ehegattin (wife.)
Bride: Johann Müller, Tochter von (daughter of) ____ ____the late Johann Müller, Ansiedler (farmer) und dem (and the) Apollonia geborren (born of) Jakob Sopher, gemein? (common?) Ehegattin. (his wife) The bride is Catholic, 35 years old and single.
Witnesses: Brandt or Barnt, Ansiedler ___? von (from) Teodoro. Johann Pollard,Ansiedler Lmn von (from) Teodoro. Johann Pollard, Ansiedler Lmn?

I have gone through the 1900 and 1920 census for Zvole and extracted the surnames and pages. I would be happy to look up a surname for you and tell you what page you would find the census on.
Also you can attach this record into the FamilySearch database and it will appear as a source. It would help others if you did so.

Thank you, Betsylee, for confirming the translation and extending it for me. I appreciate your help with the translation of Häusler and Ansiedler. They were difficult to decipher and define. The surname Valenta would be more correct than Walenta. In the US, of course, it is Valentine.
The ancestors I have found so far came to the United States before 1900, however, I will certainly run into more later, and will eventually need your assistance with the census records. Thank you for doing all that work and being willing to share it. What a wonderful resource!
I am in the process of entering the sources into Family Search for many names. Some of them are from FS, but many are from the parish website records. I was trying to put the sources in before I had the translations done, but the translations were slowing me down, so I'm getting those in place and then entering the records in. I am confused about what's necessary for the place names. I have used (for example of someone from GroßRasel): Zvole, Sumperk, Olomoucký kraj, Czechia, but I'm not sure if I should put Northern Bohemia in there too. It can get really long! I've decided to use the current places and make notes to link the old names. That way, people can find them on a map. If you have any suggestions, I am certainly open to them. You have worked in this same area and know more than I do. Thank you again for taking the time to look at this record for me. It really helped a lot!
