WALK WHERE THEY WALKED ACTIVITY HTTP://BIT.LY/3QCHEGP
Elder Quentin L. Cook:
“Families could hold a “Family Tree Gathering.” This should be a recurring effort. Everyone would bring existing family histories, stories, and photos, including cherished possessions of grandparents and parents. Our young people are excited to learn about the lives of family members—where they came from and how they lived. Many have had their hearts turned to the fathers. They love the stories and photos, and they have the technological expertise to scan and upload these stories and photos to Family Tree and connect source documents with ancestors to preserve these for all time. Of course, the main objective is to determine what ordinances still need to be done and make assignments for the essential temple work.” (Roots and Branches; By Elder Quentin L. Cook; Ensign April 2014; p.44)

Feel What They Felt Activity http://bit.ly/3qeXIhn
When you try to understand what life was like for an ancestor, you see him or her differently.
POSSIBLE ACTIVITIES
Ask Heavenly Father to help you discover the ancestors whose lives and stories can help you.
Put yourself in an ancestor’s shoes; read a story about an event in his or her life. What was life like for him or her? What was going on in the story?
After learning about an ancestor’s story, act out that story with your family.
GO DIGITAL
In a search engine, look up historical events that happened when one of your ancestors was alive. Think about what life must have been like for them.
Share what you learned with your cousins or other extended family members. How could you help them feel what you felt about your ancestors?
