Tammy, do you know what religion Edgar belonged to when he lived there? FamilySearch does not have records from the Vinnytsia region of Ukraine, but records can be found in the Vinnitsia oblast (Винницкая область) archive -- see http://metrics.tilda.ws/ukraine#rec5597077. An inventory (in Ukrainian) for this archive can be found here: http://davio.gov.ua/pub/book/davio-mk-2012.pdf. The name of the town you are looking for is shown as Вапнярка in the inventory. The archive appears to have Roman Catholic church records for the area.

Yes, there are also Russian Orthodox (православный) church records for the province held at that archive as well.
