NEEDLEWORK SAMPLERS
Besides collecting Family Bible information - we are also collecting and analyzing various other family records of a similar nature.
Among these other artifacts - are needlework samplers - usually made by very young American Girls of the early 1800's.
Our inventory of such records with images and uploaded to FamilySearchg Memories now includes more than 300 items. Quite a surprising number.
who, among the young girls who created these momentos - would have ever imagined that 200 years later - we would be collecting analayzing and extracting family genealogical data from there pieces of art often made by girls as young as 8 to 10 years old.
