Where to find Colorado Catholic Records?
I am researching a French Canadian trader who died in Colorado in 1843. I do not know if there would have been any Catholic priests to perform his last rites but if there were there might be records. Does anyone know if a) the catholic church had a presence in the early west and b) if so where are the records?

Just figure out what county you need and then contact the corresponding diocese and see how early of records they have.
Your next option is searching in this collection on family search. here is the link: https://www.familysearch.org/search/collection/2353034
it covers Colorado Church Records from 1692-1942.
Hope one of these helps or someone has another solution.
