How to contact FS and get permission
I would like to know how to contact Family Search in regards do doing work for a person born less than 110 years. She has no living peers and no children. Parents are deceased. She is my aunt.
A long answer:
In "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' ...
.
IF, ALL the immediate individuals/persons ( Parents; Siblings; Spouse; Children; etc ) 'connected'/'linked' to an individual/person ARE 'recorded' as being "Deceased"; and; You ARE related [ as indicated in Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch' ( ie. you can easily tell, with that "View My Relationship" 'link'/'button' ) ]; THEN, you just indicate that you have 'Permission' ( as there are NO close Living relatives, to give such ).
.
You will then be required to indicate that the above are "Deceased"; and, confirm your contact details, which 'Creates' a "Support" Case.
.
'FamilySearch' will do some investigation.
.
Later you may be contacted by 'FamilySearch' to confirm that there are no [ ie. extra, (ie. not recorded) ] Living relatives.
.
IF, there is no Living relatives to give permission; THEN, you MAY be permitted to undertake the Work; but, EACH "Support" Case is handled separately.
.
The Church DOES seriously consider the wishes of close Living relatives.
.
Furthermore ...
.
For some 'light' bedtime reading ...
.
Here are some "Knowledge Articles" in 'FamilySearch'
.
Individuals for whom I can request temple ordinances
.
What is the 110-year policy, and why was it initiated?
.
[ Just in case ... ]
Family Tree says I need permission to reserve ordinances. The 110-year policy does not apply.
.
Can I do temple ordinances for my aunts, uncles, and cousins?
.
When should I obtain permission before performing ordinances for the deceased?
.
Do I need permission from the closest living relative to do temple ordinances?
.
I cannot find any close living relatives to grant permission for ordinances
.
How do I request ordinances for an ancestor who was born in the last 110 years?
.
I can't reserve ordinances because the spouse was born less than 110 years ago
.
I hope this helps.
