Maria Vareschi - looking for help in locating birth record. thank you.
I am looking for the birth record of Maria Vareschi in hopes of finding out the names of her parents. On her Naturalization papers she listed Pontiociso, Italy as her birth place on March 24, 1900. She arrived in the United States on November 1, 1923, upon immediately marrying Hector Brancati on November 10, 1923. They settled in the Bronx and had two children.

Not aware of a place called Pontiociso. Her arrival manifest says she is from Pontevico in Brescia. Right now the only online records available for that comune are from 1806-1815, so you would need to contact the comune of Pontevico for a 1900 birth record.

Is that a place, or her mother's name?
