My grandfather was a Taccone from Gaeta(Elena) and born in 1893. I’m looking for ancestry. His mother was Mary Catanzano Taccone and father Davide. Can you help me get started? Thanks. This is my first post

So do you mean the comune of Gaeta in province Latina? Unfortunately there aren't birth records online for that time period yet (post-1865). They are still in the process of being filmed. Records from 1809-1865 have been filmed and are on FamilySearch but you must be at at FHC or FS Affiliate Library to view them.

In the meantime the only way you can get a birth record from 1893 is through the Comune of Gaeta. Either you would have to write them directly or hire a researcher in Italy to do it for you.
