I didn't even know I had a gallery. And yes, they are in my gallery. How do I get them to show up in my mom's memory spot?

Provided that those "Images" are in your "Gallery"; and, there are no "Error Messages", when you access them from you "Gallery" ...
.
Then, you can go to the individual/person who you want to add them as "Memories"; and, do so by adding them FROM the "Gallery.

That said ...

The ACTUAL uploading of a "Memory" CAN be DELAYED; as, "Memories" have to be VETTED for "Content" and "Appropriateness".
.
I believe, initially that the "Vetting" is done by the "System" (a Computer); and, if all good then uploaded; but, if the "System" (a Computer) considers that they are Suspect/Questionable/beyond it parameters; then, it go to a 'Human" to continue the process.
.
So ...
That said ...

Have you checked, a while after (some time) to see in the "Memory" is actually added to the individual/person concerned.

The "Memory" WILL go immediately into your "Gallery"; as, you "Gallery" is NOT "Public", as it is in your "Private Spaces" in 'FamilySearch'.

That video just shows how to upload memories. Have already done that. . . twice! However, Brett gave me good information and I am waiting for them to be "vetted for content" as he put it.

yes - there is a vetting process as Brett points out
it normally is within a few minutes - but sometimes longer.
but even with that vetting process - I believe you should still see a "place holder" representing that uploaded item
so if you dont see that something is wrong.
Do you see the items now - and connected to the person they were uploaded to??

No. It is still not showing up where I uploaded them. I will try again in a few days.

it should never take more than 24 hours
There was however a recent bug in FS Memories that I believe has now been fixed.
as stated previously - even when an item is going through the vetting process
it still should generate a "place holder" that will show something like "screening" or "in process" while it is being vetted.

Where you saw your images in gallery click tag or click on the actual image to tag it. Start typing the persons name the way Family search has it. FS should find them. Once completed, it should show on person page of the person. It is easier to Load images from the person’s page.
