Why is it that Family Search Records does not have simple records, like Censuses, that will come up
Very often, when we do a Search Records on Family Search, we will not find any needed records, but if we go to Ancestry.com, the records are there. These are not difficult records, i.e., Census, Birth, Marriage.

That is a great question. Ancestry is currently doing a better job at matching records with ancestors. Sometimes the name may be misspelled, or the range of the birth year may be wrong. Do you use the collection tab on FamilySearch? After you do a search from a persons detail page and look at the first page under the records tab. Click on the collections tab and go down to the Census category.
If you don't find them, try changing the birth range, and/or the surname. What I do sometimes is find them on Ancestry and then make sure on the left hand side that it is the same. I like to attach the record in Familysearch. Also, if you have a tree in Ancestry, you can share sources from Ancestry to FamilySearch. Do you have an Ancestry tree?
Does that make sense?
