This presentation will assist those who wish to learn how to trace their roots in Mexico and the southwestern U.S., show how to access the records of their Mexican ancestors online, and offer pointers about how to use that information once they have it.
John Schmal specializes in Mexican genealogical research, as well as the indigenous history of several Mexican states. In addition to being a Genealogical Society of Hispanic America (GSHA) member, he serves on the board of the Society of Hispanic Historical Ancestral Research (SHHAR).
