Need some help finishing transcription for death record from Huy, Liege, Belgium
Greetings,
I am working on transcribing a death certificate for Marie Margueritte Orban who died in Huy, Liege, Belgium on May 15th 1815 and need some assistance. While I have some experience with transcribing old Italian records, I am very new to working with French records, but this is what I have so far:
#83 Marie Margueritte Orban
I am unsure about the phrase “non pareus” but my guess is that it means “not related” to the deceased but I’m unsure if this is a Latin phrase or something else. I was also unsure about the profession of Charles Bertrand which looks like “Payennier” as well as the listed occupation for Marie which I was unable to transcribe. I’ve no doubt made other mistakes as well.
I would be grateful for any assistance. Marie Orban was the Grandmother of Marie Therese Josephine Gamette born 1830 in Huy who married my 3rd Great Uncle, Carlo Casinelli in Isola Del Liri, Frosinone, Lazio, Italy in 1858.

I was only able to help with one of your questions, but here is a list of corrections:
"huere" should be heure.
"jardevant" should be "Par devant" (I guess, either way I means in front).
"Bourguemetre" should be "Bourgmestre", meaning Mayor.
"L'stat" should be "l'état".
Don't know what "Payennier" should be.
Also don't know what "pareus" should be, but as you say, it should mean "related".
The questions marks should be "sans", meaning she was without a profession.
"domicilio" should be "domiciliée".
"aus epous" should be "au épouse", (not sure about the "au").
"ent" should be "est".
"aujour d' huy" should be "aujourd'hui".
"deu matin" should be "du matin".

Thank you both very much for the replies and corrections. I guess I didn't do too bad for my first French transcription.
Earthenware merchant...that is very interesting. Also, I am a correct in noting that Joseph's profession was a "Tonnelier" - maker of barrels and casks, etc?
