In January of the year they turn 12, children can obtain a limited use temple recommend. This means that some 11 year old children can participate in temple baptisms/confirmations. It is exciting!

I inherited my grandpa's personal history a few years ago. He mentioned going to the temple to do baptisms at age 8. That is the age they used to be able to go. I have searched for when that changed and why. Does anyone know? I'm just curious.
