i just found this map search site. It allows you to search maps by family name and state. It lists both landowners and renters. Could def be useful for finding relatives migration patterns etc. It doesn’t appear to have all states or maps but it has some. It’s worth a try 😊

@Dennis J Yancey not all states work as beautifully as Oklahoma did for my first search lol... but I think if you play around with it , it can def be a great resource. I still haven’t been able to find the perfect map site lol at least not for free anyway ... I’d like to find a map that would show what the area looked like for any given time period,showing addresses of. Relatives etc (yeah I know I don’t ask for much lol)

The reason I loved this map site X24Mom shared - was that it is much more than just a collection of maps or geographic locations.
But that it is just as much a "people database" of people/names on those maps. A map of "Bingham County, Idaho" is one thing - but a map of who lived exactly where in Bingham County Idaho on a given map in a given year - is worlds of difference to a genealogist.
This is one area that has often been difficult to get quick and easy info on in the past.

I totally agree @Dennis J Yancey ! That’s why I got so excited about it! I saw “land ownership index with map” and it allows to choose the year! Too bad it’s not complete, but it’s still def a World of Info for some folks 😊 I haven’t gotten a chance to explore it much yet, but I plan to on Monday. I think the site charges for some options, and you def want to view the info on a pc or anything other than an iPhone 😂 the site offers several different search options also. I will keep you guys posted as to what, if anything else that I find
