New to Asia and Philippines Research
Hello, My name is Sarah. I am helping out a neighbor with some genealogy research. Their family is from the Philippines and I have never researched in Asia or the Philipines before so I am looking for some advice. Are there specific sites or databases or collections that can be used in the region? How accurate and well kept are the collections? Any suggestions to make my research easier? What languages are the records typically in? Are the records digitized or do I need to contact a national agency or organization?

I do not know. My working assumption is the father is from Iriga but I have no idea for the mother.

I love the Philippines, and I wish that this Covid mess was over so that I could visit my family there. Did you know that there are 7,641 islands in the Philippines? We can probably offer some more suggestions if we can narrow down the area that you need to research.
