@JuneTurer JuneTurer, do you have a copy of his death record, or of any other pertinent records? Do you have an exact death date? Ankara is both a capital city and a province.

What do you know already about him? Looks like there was an Adil Türer, from Izmir, born 1886, who graduated from as a distinguished officer from the Ottomon Military College in 1909 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ottoman_Military_College)

Did everybody see it, or only one of you?
I would add that I was engaged to Ozcan Turer for about four years and then married to him for 24 years. He knew his mother's family, the Alpseymens, but when I asked him about relatives on his father's side,
he would tell me that he knew hardly anything about them. I was acquainted with only one person from the Turer side--a very agreeable military pathologist in Ankara, named Nuri Aker.

Thank you, Ellie. I will try to repeat it so all can see, but I'm reluctant to write it all out again. May I ask that if someone did get the info, could that person send it back to me so I can broadcast it to all? Or, is there a way for me to recoup from this website what I wrote? I'm really grateful for this means of sharing information and do not want to make a nuisance of myself. But I'm on a learning curve.

No worries, June; the website can take some getting used to!
If you accidentally sent the information as a message to somebody, you can recover it by going to community.familysearch.org and clicking on the little circle in the top far right corner. Then click on "Messages" from the options. This will open up a new page, with all of your message threads in a column on the left. Click on a message thread on the left to view what was sent. From there, once you have located the message with the information, you can copy it and then paste it in a comment on this thread for everyone to see.

@JuneTurer JuneTurer do you need additional directions to figure out how to retrieve and copy the message? We would love to help you with your search. Community does take a little bit of getting used to, but you will find that many people are getting answers to their questions here.
