Giovanni Vacchini born 1828 in Genoa and came to Sydney Australia about 1853. He had a taylor shop in Sydney and had a lady who they had five children the descendants are still about in NSW of which I am one. Does any one know of his past. ??

Have you found any records in Australia that give more details about Giovanni? Genoa is the name of both a city and a province. Even if it refers to the city, it would be extremely helpful if you could find a church record in Australia (a marriage, or possible the baptism of one of his children) that named Giovanni's home parish.

I have spoken with other members of the Vacchini family & they know as much as I
do, which very little.His youngest child Tiberio was my grand father. Also met with descendants and they know no more than I do. His past is a mystery. Where did he come from and why ?
