Merge reason gets reset when switching tabs

I've enjoyed trying out the new merge experience!

One issue I came across: while drafting my reason for merging, I switched to another tab to copy a detail that I wanted to include. When I switched back to the merge tab, the merge reason had unexpectedly been reset to the default message.

I can consistently reproduce this if I switch to a different tab for at least 5 seconds and then switch back to the merge tab.

I'm using Chrome 134 on macOS 15.3.2.

Same problem, very disturbing. Using Firefox to current build on Windows 11.

At least we know that "FamilySearch found no significant inconsistencies." for this merge . ;-)
