Why are long deceased people in my imported CET marked as private

@BenSanford Thank you for testing early release CET. Will you share the name of your tree and the PID of one of the DECEASED persons that has been marked as private? Are there also individuals in your tree that are "public"? Which operating system and browser are you using? From where did you download your GEDCOM file? Thank you for your feedback.

@BenSanford, This is a known issue and will be fixed.
The menu item that currently reads "Private People" is erroneously named and does indeed show publicly visible deceased tree persons, not just private persons. It is actually giving the user a quick person name filter in order to jump to any person in your tree. We intend to change the name of this feature to something like "Person List"0 -
