@lindursteler1 lindursteler1 FamilySearch has just enabled a feature for editing incorrectly indexed names, but at this point that is the only correction users can make to indexed information. In time, they hope to allow corrections to additional fields. We suggest to patrons that they go ahead and attach the incorrectly indexed record as a source and note the error in their reason statement.

In addition to noting the indexing ('Date') error in a "Reason Statement"; as advised, by 'N Tychonievich', I would suggest that you ALSO make a "Note" in the 'Title' of the "Source" (by 'Editing" the 'Title') about the 'Date' Error (and, possibly, include the correct 'Date').

To directly answer MJ's comment and the above question: No, dates cannot be corrected at this time.
What the two answers are referring to, is that since you cannot correct indexed dates, the second best thing is to put an explanation somewhere that the date is wrong. The only place to make such a comment is in Family Tree after attaching the indexed record as a source.
They also mentioned, just as additional information in case you were not aware of it, that incorrectly indexed names can now be corrected in certain historical record sets, although this new feature is having some growing pains. When you can correct an indexed name, you will see editing links like this:
