I was wondering if someone could help with the maiden name of the deceased person's mother marked with the blue arrow. Is it Johanna Christiane gebborren Jlurfe? Thanks Scott Haufe

I read the decedent's mother's maiden surname as: Haufe.

    You're welcome, Scott.

BTW, I didn't notice your surname until you replied. Is it just a coincidence that your surname and the maiden name in the record are Haufe?

It would be interesting because this would be from a maternal lineage of his father's side which would mean that they married someone with the same name on each side. Possible i guess. Thanks for your input. Scott Haufepic

Don't be surprised if those two distant Haufe ancestors turn out to be cousins of some sort.

I have a number of cousin marriages in my family history, one as close as first cousins who married in the 1830s in Ohio. So, my brother and sisters are also my sixth cousins and my mother is also my fifth cousin once removed.

Thank you, Scott, for sharing the family tree. Very interesting.

    Robert
