Were any of YOUR ancestors part of the Revolutionary War?
Willing to help tag these beautiful records in FS Memories?
The Family Bible Preservation Project has a FamilySearch Memories Album of over 100 beautiful FRAKTUR/BIBLE documents related to genealogical information as part of Revolutionary War Pension files at the National Archives.
You can find them here: https://www.familysearch.org/photos/gallery/album/634475
We are in the process of tagging such records to the corresponding person in Family Tree
any help that any of you wish to supply in our group effort would be greatly appreciated
at least the name of the owner/submitter of the fraktur document should be part of the Memories item. Some may have additional details in the comments or file name section.
you will also very possibly find additional information by using such sites at google, ancestry and other sites.
you might try search queries such as
"JOHN SMITH REVOLUTIONARY WAR PENSION"
just as one of various examples.
If you "think out of the box" - finding additional info may not be that hard.
Thanks for any help.
