Looking for a Konfirmation Record for Emma Kaess
Looking for a Lutheran Konfirmation Record for Emma Kaess (later Rathgeb), who was born in 1925 in Bennigen am Neckar, Germany. Her parents were Karl Gottlob Kaess & Pauline Friederich. The confirmation record may show up in about 1939 or so. The FSL numbers are: Film # 1056768, DGS # 101831971. You may also want to look for the Kommunikanten lists for her at Film # 921677 item 1, DGS # 101901771.
Thanks, Brian

I found the confirmation record in the first film you sited. Here's the translation by column -
Palm Sunday, 17 March 1940
[Running] Number - 7
Name of the child - Käß, Emma
Birth - here, 20 / 29 XI [November] [19]25
Names of the Parents - +Käß Gottlob Karl, railroad worker here, Pauline Friedrike nee Läpple, both Protestant
Page number in the Family Register - [vol] II 256
Note - Vol. II of the Family Register is apparently not available at FamilySearch.
There is a scripture reference under Emma's name, which was probably her confirmation verse - Galatians 6:9 -
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. (KJV)

The above was exactly the person I was looking for. Could you also look for the Konfirmation record for her sister Frida Käß (b. 1910 in Benningen am Neckar, Ludwigsburg)? It should probably appear in 1924 or 1925 or so. The two girls also had brothers named Robert Kaess (d. 1929) and Karl Albert Kaess, but I don't know their birth dates, just that they are in the sibling group and likely born in Benningen as well. Robert may have died at a young age. If you want to take a stab at those two, feel free. Excellent work on Emma!
Much obliged,
Brian

Birth here 1910 - Affalterbach, [date is very hard to read] 16 [can't read] / 13 Okt?
Names of the Parents - Karl, railroad worker, Prot., Pauline nee Läpple, Prot.
Page number in the Family Register - [vol] II 256
Psalms 91:11 reads: "For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways." KJV
Karl Albert appears on image 808 of 904 on the same film. Here's the translation -
30 March 1930

Birth / Baptism 1916 - 29 Sept, 8 Oct

Matthew 12:30 reads: "He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad." KJV
I could find no confirmation record for Robert, even though I went back as far as 1919, and forward as far as 1940. So possibly he died before age 14?
