Updates to the Memory Viewer, week of Aug 28, 2024
Just a note that the Memory Viewer has been updated. We will be updating the “How to use the Memory Viewer” on the group homepage.
You will see the updates when you select a Memory from your Gallery.
(Note: It has not updated for Memories selected from the Person Page Memory Tab—that is coming soon).
Please send us feedback on your experience with the Memory Viewer updates!

As we get used to changes with the Memory Viewer, I did want to point out one difference that might be confusing. . .
BEFORE, the Information panel on the right side of the screen held a section titled “Details.” (It was located beneath the “Tag People” section.) Here you could see boxes in which to enter Title/Place/Date/Description.
You can still add these details, but you will need to click the “Edit” button found in the bar over the Memory viewing area.
When you add the details for your Memory, the Title/Place/Date will show up in the bar over your Memory. But the Description will show up in the Information panel on the right side of your Memory.
Please remember: Changes to the Memory Viewer are ongoing—so expect more changes and updates. And thank you for providing feedback on your experience using the Memory Viewer!

Image tagging mode for mobile had been working well (except for the issue others have mentioned, about tag clutter). But suddenly a few days ago, "tagging mode" disappeared. Now, when I place a tag, there's no check mark to OK the placement and no "Done Tagging" option; tags simply won't stay put. There's no "Save" button. When I leave the memory page, the unsaved tag goes away. Nothing is tagged. Subject tags may be added, but not image tags. I've tried toggling between different browsers, but that doesn't work either.

Yes, there has definitely been some disruption to the tagging mode.
I've just posted an update on some of these changes. Check this POST.
However, it sounds like you might have experienced additional challenges, so I'll take a closer look at your details.
Thanks for sharing! And thanks for your patience!
