Assistance Finding Grandfather's Birth Certificate and Other Info
Hello group, my name is Kai (name removed) and I'm new around here. Me and my family have been trying to obtain my late-grandfather's German birth certificate but have come up empty handed. I'll detail all the information that we have on him and his family so hopefully someone can help us find it or point us in the right direction.
My Great Grandfather:
- Name: Karl Matthias Brünker Schult
- Birth: January 18th, 1895. Duisdorf (bei Bonn)
- Son of: Michael Brünker (1851-1924, Duisdorf bei Bonn) and Maria Luise Shult (1869-1948, Waldorf Coeln, Rheinland, Preussen)
- Married: Josefina Lehmann on August 24, 1924 in Münsterpfarre Bonn
- Had four children, one passed away young. The other three were two girls and one boy (my grandfather)
- Fled Germany circa 1936 with his family and emmigrated into Costa Rica
- Was General Secretary and then General Director of the Bühnenvolksbund from 1929 to 1933.
- Returned to Germany in 1959 and passed away on May 24, 1960 in Duisdorf Bonn.
My Grandfather
- Name: Tillmann Brünker Lehmann
- Birth: January 22, 1932. Somewhere in Berlin.
- Emmigrated to Costa Rica at a very young age, lived his whole life there.
- Died on January 1, 2015.
I believe thats all of the relevant information that we have obtained. Any and all other information regarding either of the men listed here will be greately appreciated. The main document we are looking for is Tillmann's birth certificate, but any information about Karl's life (we know he had a doctorate in law but not much else) would also be amazing to have.
Here is a link to a family tree a kind person made in 2009, if it is of any help:

And here is my Great Grandfather's grave on a website, plus a obituary-type text in german:

Thank you all very much for your time, effort and knowledge!

It's unlikely that you would find a 1932 birth record online. Records that recent (within the last 100 years) are generally restricted for reasons of personal privacy.

Since you are a direct descendant, you should be able to request a copy from the Registry Office where he was born. So if he was born in Berlin you should contact:
