Thanks so much! I can’t believe that I have found a record from this far back. My 6th great-grandparents! It does get challenging because the birth records no longer include the Mother’s maiden name.

Translation:

Sallach, July 16th
Johannes Carl Hofgartner from here and Maria Anna Wünsch of Kunding, both single, were married before the congregation with the witnesses Joseph Luz of Wechtering and Andreas Wünsch of Bonsail.
Note: the above-mentioned spouses are united in the 3rd degree of unequal consanguinity. But they were dispensed in order to contract a lawful marriage.

Thank-you Ulrich. You always do an amazing job and will often provide extra information that is so helpful. Johannes Carl and Maria Anna had a son Johannes Udalricus ( not a direct descendant). And I learned that your name in Latin is Udalricus!
