US service members in the Pacific theater in WW2
Hello all.
I recently came across a collection while sorting through the digitized microfilm at the Philippines Archives Collection that I think might be helpful sharing here. These are records of US servicemen in the Pacific Theater in WW2. They are organized by location and search team the record was recovered, then arranged alphabetically by surname. There are no indicators other than the microfilm images themselves of the organization, and the collection is not indexed.
The information on the records include:
-Soldier's name
-Soldier's date of birth
-Soldier's rank and unit number
-Soldier's place and date of capture
-Soldier's original address and names of father and mother
-Hand-written notes on when and how the solder passed.
The collection can be found here:
