Bug: Not switching record spouse when switching record person.
While handling an obituary, I used the new Source Linker to add the decedent's (Charles Stokes') daughter (Patsy Wright) to Family Tree. The obituary also mentioned the daughter's husband (Dr. Robert White), so I did "change person" on the left to put the daughter in the main spot, and dragged Dr. Robert White from the "Others on record" section up to the main person's spouse slot. Then I clicked "Add" and added Dr. Robert White to Family Tree. So far, so good.
When I did "Change" back to the decedent (Charles Stokes), then it showed
- Charles Stokes on the left in the main spot (good), with the FT Charles Stokes on the right (good).
- Dr. Robert White as the spouse on the left (wrong), with Mary Jane Baumgardner as the spouse of the FT Charles Stokes on the right (correct).
It was showing me a "Detach" warning because of the mismatch, but the mismatch was a bug.
If I copy the URL to a new tab, then Charles displays with his proper spouse, and so does Patsy. But in the window where I did the Add, it's showing the wrong person. (I have a screen shot, but it doesn't look like I can add one here).
Here's a URL to the case in question. It looks fine when you go there now, so it appears that the bug only manifests in the window where the add was done:
So again, the steps I did were:
- "Change person" to a child of the principal on the record side, and add that person to Family Tree.
- Drag a person from "Others in record" up to the empty spouse slot.
- Add that spouse to the tree.
- Do "Change person" to the original principal person, i.e., the parent of the child.
- See if that child's spouse is showing as the spouse of the principal.
