Cannot add Great Bedwyn as parish
Great Bedwyn is a village AND parish in Wiltshire, England. An entry for the village exists, but not for the parish.
This causes issues for people that live in the smaller villages/hamlets in the parish as the parish name “Great Bedwyn” will be standardised to village.
Update: same problem with neighbouring parish ‘Burbage, Wiltshire’ which is defined as a village but not a parish. Alternatively ‘Little Bedwyn’ is correctly defined as both a village and a parish.

This issue has been discussed with the those in charge of the Places project. For England and many other countries, the decision was if a place and a parish have the same name, it would be Village as the place type. For smaller villages and hamlets, their parent should not be the parish. They should be listed under the County, then Country. This decision was made to prevent other issues and confusion. Example: Some places get assigned to Parish, others to the County.
The FamilySearch Places Mission and Purpose, along with Country Specific Guidelines can be found at:

Under England:
We see: “In many cases, descriptions of villages in England will also be understood to cover the local civil parish of the same name. Whenever a village and (civil) parish carry the same name at the same location, they should be described once with the place type village.”
“Little Bedwyn” really should not be both. For “Great Bedwyn” we did add “Additional Type Information” Parish.
