To start with: we seem to have a problem with contradicting dates.
I assume the marriage register to be that of Wetzikon (you don't give that information):
29. Dec. 1816 (not 1817 !)
Rudolf Jenta von Ettenhausen, Pfarrei Wetzikon
Margaretha Huber aus der Kniebreche
However, the family register (first document on your web page) lists 06. Jan. 1817 as date for the marriage.
Unfortunately the ZH marriage database doesn't help: covers only the period prior to 1800.
A potential explanation might(!) be: the planned marriage was announced (the bann) in Wetzikon on 29. Dec. 1816 - and took place 06. Jan. 1817 … but where? Not likely in Wetzikon (but this should be checked!). The family register gives Husen as origin for the bride (and I had already mentioned Hausen am Albis as likely location). On the other hand, according to the Wetzikon marriage record she's "aus der Kniebreche", i.e. from Langnau am Albis. Both parishes only 12 km apart - so the marriage could have taken place in either parish.
BTW - you have another document on your page: 008191940 page 354.jpg - unfortunately without reference - I assume it to be a Bevölkerungsverzeichnis from Wetzikon (see
) - correct? This states 06. Jan. 1817 as date of marriage - and is likely the souce for the date in the family register.

WSeelentag Wolf: This is very helpful. The idea of posting bands on the 29th of 1816 and getting married on 6 Jan 1817 did not occurre to me. As you predicted I found the marriage in Hausen am Albi. It is posted on the same page. The entry is marked with a red square for those who aren't as educated as you are.
The the origin of page 354 is now posted on the same page as well. I don't know the meaning of a Bevölkerungsverzeichnis from Wetzikon. It appears to be records from a number of parishes.

Translated word-by-word Bevölkerungsverzeichnis could be Population Register. It is some sort of census data, but more extensive that US census data. The naming of these sources is not consistent within Switzerland. In canton Zürich the name seems to be used for registers from the 17th/18th century. Content is similar to the Haushaltungsrodel (Haushaltungsverzeichnis) of the 19th century - often relying on the older Bevölkerungsverzeichnisse. Then we have the Familienregister (e.g. canton Zürich around 1876) or Bürgerregister (e.g. canton St.Gallen around 1835), again similar information, compiled retrospectively based on older registers. When these records were filmed, the photographers did not always put the same "name" on the film titles as the archive - which doesn't help.
Now for the marriage in question: you found the entry in Hausen- perfect - but there it also puts it down on 29 Dec 1816: we still have thy mystery where 06 Jan 1817 comes from. I'll try to word this (in German) short but understandable and ask the question on https://www.geneal-forum.com/phpbb/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=33897: I recommend you "subscribe" to this topic to be notified automatically about future contributions.

I have now posted the problem on https://www.geneal-forum.com/phpbb/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=33897#p126991 - together with another potential explanation (which doesn't really convice me either). Let's see if someone comes up with a better explanation.

To get a response you have to enter an e-mail address - and it must be the one registered for you. Are you using different addresses - and possibly have not entered now the one registered? In this case, try another one which you may have used at the time. If that doesn't work, I could contact the administrator.

Same address I have had for 12 years. No idea why I can't access the password reset. I checked the spam and junk folders.
