Marriage Record No. 21, Zgierz, dated the 5th May 1888, of Alfred (not Adolf, see his signature) Ziegler (Cigler in Russian), a local clothmaker (clothier), 22 years old, born in Dabie, son of local clothmaker, Adolf Ziegler and of his wife, Henrietta, born Zobel (Cobel in Russian), and of a maiden, Berta Jekel, living with her parents, 20 years old, born in Lodz, daughter of a weaver from Lodz, Wilhelm Jekel and of his wife, Matylda, born Grandecka. This marriage was preceded by three Marriage Banns published in this Church and in Lodz. No impediment detected. The permission of the father of the bride was granted. Witnesses: Edward Stekas, a clothmaker from Lodz, 28 years old, and Joannes Hekasder (?), a weaver from Lodz, 27 years old. Signature of Alfred Ziegler.
