Finding Atti di Nascita
I am trying to find my uncles birth record. His name Calogero Giaimo birth January 11 or 12, 1913. Born in Sciacca, Sicily. Parents Ignazio and Cecilia Craparo. The microfilm is locked and I am unable to get a copy of this record. I have contacted Family Search they are uncertain why this year is locked.
I need this birth record for my dual citizenship. How can I obtain it?

It's part of a film (2280339) that contains Santo Stefano Quisquina records from the late 1920s, although usually death and citizenship records are only subject to a 75-year hold.
To use it for DC (although not sure why you need a birth record for an uncle since that's not a direct ancestor) you need a certificated copy from the comune anyway so you will have to contact them directly or hire a service to get the record for you.

Thank you for this information. There are many misspellings on my grandparents US records. We are using the children’s names to prove they are one and the same.
