What is an RF record in Virginia?
In researching Fiduciary Events for the 1850's. I have found a reference to "RF1 p. 2". I do not understand what document is an "RF" document nor where I might find that in records for the county (Mercer).

George:
I noticed there is a “Register of fiduciaries” for the years 1850-1879. See following link and description below.
FamilySearch Catalog: Records of fiduciaries, 1850-1882, 1922-1946 — FamilySearch.org
Register of fiduciaries, 1850-1879, gives name of fiduciary; name of decedent; name of the living person(s) for whom appointed guardian, curator, etc.; penalty of bond; names of sureties; date of order conferring his authority; and date of the order of revocation.
Also, more recently a “Record of fiduciaries, v. 1, 1917-1956". See same link as above and description below.
Record of fiduciaries, v. 1, 1917-1956, gives name of fiduciary; name of decedent for whose estate he is the representative; name of the living person(s) for whom he is guardian, curator, committee or trustee; penalty of bond; names of sureties; date of order conferring his authority; date of the order of revocation; date of settlement by fiduciary; and other information.
The location on where to find the registers/records are listed below.

It’s not clear from your post if these are the registers/records you have been researching. Having not seen these documents personally it’s not clear to me if the “RF1 p.2” you refer to in your post is referencing volume 1 page 2 of the above mentioned documents. It does seem possible that this register/record could be the “RF” document you are referring to.
You may also be aware that in the 1850’s Mercer County was in Virginia but is currently in West Virginia.
Good luck with your continued research. I hope this information proves helpful.
