Different starting person than the Group Owner
My family group is for my parents and their children, grandchildren, etc. I think it makes the most sense for my father to be the starting person in the tree, so that it initially shows his descendents. When I change the starting person, I could change it to my father, but then the follow up prompt is "is this you?" The answers are either "Yes, continue" or "No, change the starting person". This doesn't make sense.
I tried selecting my father as the starting person anyway (choosing "yes, continue"), but then such functions as viewing my relationship got screwed up. It would say my sister is my daughter because it assumed that I'm my dad.

Hello @Dave Solomon. Yes this Starting Person has been a bit confusing. Really it is about showing who you are in the the tree. There have been a number of requests for a Family Group Tree to have a single starting person, as you suggest…your father for your group of siblings and grandchildren. It does make sense, but then we are really looking at two different items, who are YOU in the tree and who do you want to be the Home Person in the tree. The engineers are considering these two different items. Thank you for your input.
