Line 2 on page 277 Lars Anderson marries Marit Christofersdatter 14 June 1859. What is Lars fathers name?

I'm thinking it is Anders Larsen.

Lars' fathers name is hmd. (husmand-tenant farmer) Anders Larsen. A farm name follows and it could be Smaavollan or an older equivalent spelling of that (see Family Search Romfo Parish farm names here: https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Romfo_Parish,_M%C3%B8re_og_Romsdal,_Norway_Genealogy .)

 

Another possibility is that the farm name is Svenslien which is in Nesset Parish a bit to the northwest of Romfo Parish. The first letter is "S" but the rest is really difficult to read.

 

Norwayparishes.com is a very nice site for finding farm names in Norway.

Romfo is a parish in Sunndal Clerical district, Møre og Romsdal, Norway. This couple lived in Sunndal at the farm Svoronøien (the farm the groom came from at the time of the 1865 census. See link: https://www.digitalarkivet.no/en/census/person/pf01038304000506
